VTU Easy exists to support your learning — not to replace it. All study materials, cheat codes, notes summaries, syllabus guides, question paper analyses, and any other content available on this platform are provided exclusively for personal study and academic revision. They are tools to help you understand, remember, and consolidate knowledge — not shortcuts to bypass genuine learning.

Submitting any content from VTU Easy as your own original academic work constitutes academic plagiarism. This includes, but is not limited to: submitting copied notes as your own assignment, presenting our cheat code summaries as your own preparation material in assessed settings, or reproducing our structured explanations in examination scripts as if they were your own original analysis. Such actions violate VTU's Code of Academic Integrity, your college's academic honour policy, and these Terms & Conditions simultaneously.

We take academic integrity seriously. If Visvesvaraya Technological University, any VTU-affiliated college, or any academic institution contacts us regarding misuse of VTU Easy content to commit academic dishonesty, we will cooperate fully with their enquiry. We reserve the right to take action against users who are found to have misused the platform in ways that breach academic integrity rules, including restricting or terminating access.

Students are encouraged to use VTU Easy responsibly: read it before class to preview topics, review it after class to reinforce understanding, use it during exam preparation as a quick-reference revision aid, and share it with classmates as a study support tool. This is the purpose for which the platform was built.

This section sets out in detail what you are permitted to do and what is expressly prohibited when using VTU Easy. These rules protect the platform, ensure it remains available to all students, and allow us to continue operating free of charge.

• Accessing and reading content for personal study and exam preparation
• Sharing links to specific VTU Easy pages with classmates, in study groups, or on social media
• Taking screenshots of specific content sections for your personal revision notes
• Printing individual pages for offline personal use
• Recommending VTU Easy to fellow students and academic communities

• Automated scraping: Using bots, web crawlers, automated scripts, or any tool to extract content in bulk is strictly prohibited. This degrades server performance and constitutes a breach of these terms.
• Mirror sites: Reproducing VTU Easy's content on another website, app, or platform — even if free — is prohibited without our prior written permission.
• Content redistribution: Distributing our original content as your own product, repackaging it in PDFs for sale or download, or incorporating it into any commercial offering is strictly prohibited.
• Ad circumvention: Deep-linking directly to resources in a way that intentionally bypasses our advertising — which is the sole funding mechanism keeping this platform free — is prohibited. Ads support the platform; circumventing them undermines the service for everyone.
• Commercial use: Any commercial use of VTU Easy content — including using our materials in paid tutoring, coaching institutes, or paid content products — requires prior written permission from the VTU Easy team. Contact us at vtu.easy@gmail.com.
• Performance degradation: Any action that places an unreasonable burden on our servers, including but not limited to denial-of-service attacks, automated traffic generation, or excessive concurrent requests, is prohibited and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in access restrictions, termination of the user licence described in our Legal & Licence document, and legal action under applicable Indian law including the Information Technology Act, 2000.

VTU Easy content is provided on an "as-is" basis. While we invest significant effort in maintaining accurate, current, and well-organised educational content, there are important limitations students should be aware of:

Visvesvaraya Technological University revises syllabuses, updates examination patterns, changes timetables, and issues new academic calendars on a regular basis. VTU Easy is a student-run platform and we update our content as promptly as possible following official VTU announcements — however, there may be a delay between an official VTU update and its reflection on our platform. Some historical materials, such as previous scheme syllabuses (2015 Scheme, 2017 Scheme, 2021 Scheme) and past examination timetables, may contain information that is outdated and no longer applicable to currently enrolled students.

We reserve the right to add, modify, reorganise, or remove any content, section, feature, or page on VTU Easy at any time without prior notice. This includes major structural changes, scheme migrations, rebranding of sections, or removal of content that we determine to be inaccurate, outdated, or otherwise not in the best interest of users. We are not obligated to maintain any particular piece of content indefinitely.

VTU Easy may temporarily or permanently discontinue the platform or any part of it at any time. We are not liable for any consequences arising from service interruptions, planned maintenance windows, or permanent discontinuation. We encourage students to use VTU Easy as one tool among several in their study toolkit, rather than as their sole academic resource.

This section supplements Section 8 of these Terms with additional detail on the scope and nature of VTU Easy's limitation of liability.

VTU Easy provides freely accessible educational information for VTU engineering students. Nothing on this platform constitutes professional academic counselling, official academic advice, legal guidance, financial advice, or official guidance from Visvesvaraya Technological University or any affiliated institution. You use VTU Easy as a supplementary study resource — any academic decisions you make, including which subjects to prioritise, how to prepare for examinations, or how to interpret VTU regulations, are entirely your own responsibility.

Because VTU Easy is provided entirely free of charge with no paid subscription, premium tier, or monetised user accounts, our maximum aggregate liability to any individual user is zero rupees (₹0). We provide the platform as a free community service for VTU students, and the complete absence of any financial transaction between users and VTU Easy reflects the appropriate scope of our liability. We cannot be held responsible for examination outcomes, academic performance, career decisions, or any other consequences arising from your use of or reliance on content published on this platform.

VTU Easy shall not be held liable for any service interruption, data loss, or inability to access the platform arising from events beyond our reasonable control. These include but are not limited to: server or data centre outages, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, natural disasters, power failures, internet service provider outages, actions by governments or regulatory authorities, pandemics, civil unrest, or any other force majeure event. We will make reasonable efforts to restore service as quickly as possible following any such event.

Some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion of certain implied warranties or the limitation of liability for certain types of damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. If you are located in a jurisdiction where such exclusions are not permitted, you acknowledge that your rights may differ from those of users in other jurisdictions.

By using VTU Easy, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the VTU Easy team, its operators, contributors, and any associated parties from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: your violation of these Terms & Conditions; your use of the platform in a manner not authorised by these terms; your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or your infringement of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights. This indemnification obligation will survive the termination of your access to VTU Easy.

If any provision, clause, or sub-clause of these Terms & Conditions is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unlawful, void, or unenforceable for any reason, that provision shall be deemed severed from these terms and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions. The remaining terms shall continue in full force and effect as if the unenforceable provision had never been included. Where a void provision can be modified to make it enforceable while preserving its original intent, a court may do so at its discretion.
